Hello Centrals Families,

The home and away season for Junior and Senior Cricket has now concluded, together with our Milo and T20 Participation programs.  Thank you to our dedicated Coaches and Managers for providing a great cricketing outlet over the season.  There has been many notable performances and much development across the ages.

I am happy to report both our Under 14 Teams made Semi Finals and played well on the big occasion.  Our Saturday Team unfortunately missed out to Dingley on the weekend, but learnt much from the experience.  The Friday Team after an unbeaten H&A season were successful against Brighton and are now into a Grand Final this weekend.   Good luck to the Team as they represent the Centrals this weekend.  Details of the Grand Final as follows:

  • Under 14C North vs South Melbourne Districts at Home, Simpson Reserve, Friday 11th March 2016 beginning @430PM and Sunday 13th March 2016 beginning at 8.45AM.

In another excellent result for the Club, the Senior Club realised the top 4 Teams into finals – the best of any Club in the South East Cricket Association (SECA).  This continuing success is very pleasing and demonstrates an ongoing focus and dedication from last season, when our top three Senior Teams played off in Grand Finals.  Again, the Club is extremely proud to continue its youth policy and have a number of Juniors involved in Senior Finals (at least five Under 16’s) across the Grades.

Unfortunately, the 1st Eleven were defeated in their knock-out Semi Final on the weekend.  Although disappointing the loss is tempered by the continuing development of this young group and particularly the participation of a number of talented Juniors throughout the season.  There should be much to look forward to for these “Young Guns”.

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th Elevens progressed on the weekend and details of upcoming Finals are attached.  Further information is available on our Club Website and Facebook Page.

  • 2nd Eleven vs Le Page Park CC in a Preliminary Final this weekend at Centenary Park, Brady Road, East Bentleigh, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th March 2015, beginning 130PM.

  • 3rd Eleven and 4th Eleven in Grand Finals, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th March 2015, beginning 130PM, venues to be confirmed.

The support and encouragement of the Teams and our Juniors is appreciated.  The best of cricketing to all our finalists over the coming weekend(s).
