This special evening will celebrate outstanding performances throughout the season, both on and off the field. It’s a fantastic opportunity to recognise the dedication and contributions that make our club great.

Event: Hampton Central Cricket Club Senior Presentation. Date: Saturday 18th April, 2026 from 7.30 pm. Location: Hotel Brighton, 286 Bay Street, Brighton, VIC 3186  Format:  Light nibbles and refreshments at bar prices, Presentation to follow at approximately 7.45pm. Entry: Single – $30, Couple – $50, to cover food provided. Dress Code: Smart Casual

“Cheer Cheer the Good Ol Two Blues”

The draw will be starting from 1 PM, with the last ticket remaining winning the grand prize of $1000. There will also be other prizes to be won off the table throughout the day.

Buying a ticket will provide you with an entertaining day filled with live music, food and beverages.

A big reminder we will be running the Kid’s Christmas Party / Family Night this Saturday 20th December 2025.

Held at the Club (W.L. Simpson Reserve, Fewster Road) from approximately 6 PM onwards, we will be having jumping castles and other entertainment for the kids. The Club will be providing a BBQ and salad dinner and the bar will be open with a variety of refreshments.

Always a relaxed atmosphere, this is a great event to gather all our Junior and Senior families together before the Xmas/ New Year Break.  Looking forward to seeing our many new Blasters, Juniors, Seniors again enjoying a wonderful Summer evening.
 
Please note Santa normally arrives around 7:30 PM and we kindly ask that all presents be deposited into Santa’s bag (with name tag) in the back room by 7:00 PM at the latest.
 
In addition, the Club will be running the annual spirit of Christmas raffle which will be drawn on the night. Any donations that can be provided, i.e., hampers, giveaways, etc., would be greatly appreciated.

For those who can’t make it, wishing everyone a safe and relaxing Xmas and New Year.

“Cheer Cheer the Good Ol Two Blues”

The home and away season for Junior Cricket has now concluded.  Again, thank you to our dedicated Coaches and Managers for providing a supportive and fun cricketing experience. 

It has been a fantastic season and the Club is very proud to have 4 of its 5 junior underage teams in finals starting this weekend. The achievement is a great outcome and testament to our coaches, families and Junior cricketers, all supporting each other at training, on game day and around the Club.

Finals start tonight, with:

Hunter da Silveira and Tom Wilkinson playing for the Under 14B Hampton United team. The team finished on top of the ladder undefeated and take on Port Melbourne in semi-final at Silitoe Reserve tonight (February 21 and 28,  4:30pm start). The boys have been strong performers in the Under 14 team and in our Seniors and we wish them good luck tonight!!

Next, we have “Super Sunday”, with all our Under 12s in finals.  the following

• Under 12B Central Sunday vs Mentone CC at home, W.L. Simpson Reserve, Hampton, Sunday 23rd February and Sunday 2nd March 2024, beginning @8:30am.

• Under 12C North Sunday vs Brighton Union CC at Hurlingham Park #1, Brighton East, Sunday 23rd February and Sunday 2nd March 2024, beginning @8:30am.

• Under 12C South Sunday vs Hampton CC at Peterson St Reserve #2, Highett, Hampton, Sunday 23rd February and Sunday 2nd March 2024, beginning @8:30am.

And then early next week, our girls in the combined team with Brighton are playing in a semi-final.  Again, some super performances by our Girls over the season and excellent leadership in the team!!

• Under 14B Wednesday vs EMT Titans, Whyte Street Reserve, Brighton, Wednesday 26th February, beginning @8:30am. T20 One Day game.

The support and encouragement of the Club’s Teams and our Juniors is always appreciated – hoping to see our many faithful wearing their “Two Blues” with pride.  

The best of cricketing luck to all our finalists over the coming weekend(s).

The 1XI players, who did a great job setting up the inside/outside of the Club and manning the bar.

Alex Hay for his stint on the BBQ, cooking up a feast for the hungry crowd.

Adam Ross, as usual providing plenty of assistance and for his cleaning efforts before and after.

Steve Wade, a fantastic selection of songs which were well liked by the crowd!

Lachie Hay for his MC stint.

Most importantly, Charlie Wilkinson, for his behind the scenes organising of food/drinks/prizes/planning of the day as well as distributing/selling the tickets.

Plenty of prizes were picked from the table throughout the day, but Andy Devola (meat raffle) and Darcy O’Brien (Last ticket remaining) were the true winners for the day.

Rubys team in the Under 14 Julia Savage Shield (Green Team) were unfortunate not to make the finals. However, we would like to recognise Rubys outstanding performance across the VMCU carnival, finishing up leading the aggregate in wickets with 13, at an unbelievable average of 6.54.

Once again, fixtures and results for the teams are on the PlayCricket app, under Victorian Metropolitan Cricket Union.
