Season 2021/22 Update – 12 October 2021

Hello Centrals Families,

Hopefully, we are again over the COVID infection peak and cricket is only weeks, not months, before commencing.

The SECA and in turn local Clubs are awaiting further advice from Cricket Victoria regarding return dates and conditions to be in place.  We are following the state “Roadmap”, with Cricket Victoria providing their interpretation and expected commencement dates (all subject to change and dependent on the vaccine adoption rate). Please click on the images below to see further details regarding the Roadmap.

The Club is limited in any activities it can direct.  We are indeed still locked out of the pavilion and storeroom!!

At this stage small groups of up to 5 fully vaccinated participants (not organised by the Club) are available to train and we encourage as many as possible to dig out their cricket gear now and head to the nets to blow out a few cobwebs.  Hopefully organised training will commence in approximately 2 weeks’ time.

In terms of vaccination policy and procedures, no doubt this will be directed by the peak body and conditional for Clubs to participate.  More to be advised.

Regards,
