Vale Tony Devola

It is with much sadness we report the passing of Life Member Tony Devola. Forthright and determined Tony has left an indelible mark on the Club and is well deserving of the reference of “God”. A leading cricketer at the Club for many years, Tony inspired a hard and competitive game, with little quarter given. In later years, with the handicap of Parkinson’s Disease, Tony again demonstrated the grit and passion to make the most out of your opportunities and to fight to the end. A much awarded player over many years and an inaugural Hall of Fame inductee, fittingly, our Champion Player Award is also named after Tony. A loyal Family and Clubman, Tony will be much missed, but I’m sure never forgotten. Our thoughts are with Rose, Nin, Damian and the wider Devola Family at this difficult time.
